Miller M-NY-491C variety, George H. Lovett token (with his initials in tiny letters on the lower obverse).  Struck in copper with a plain edge.

One of our favorite tokens, with a wicked (in both senses of the word) flying witch on a broomstick on the obverse surrounded by the thoroughly appropriate legend WE ALL HAVE OUR HOBBIES.

The reverse proudly states DEDICATED TO COIN AND MEDAL COLLECTORS above the 1860 date.

And while we have seen a few of these in lesser grade, this example is an unmitigated screaming gem-and-a-half with proof-like surfaces, much electric original mint red remaining on the obverse, and cool cobalt blue toning on the reverse.

In all, a fabulous piece with a great pedigree.

Ex Q. David Bowers Collection, as noted on the NGC holder.

This coin is from the CRO archives and is not currently available for sale.
