Edlitz-1129 variety, struck in silver plated white metal. Designed by US Mint Engraver Anthony Paquet in the same dramatic 3-D style as the Wiener medals of the period, though this is much larger at a full 80mm in diameter and 10mm thick.
And so deeply struck that it actually looks like you could walk inside the cathedral and peer up at the ornately carved ceiling (in which case you would be seen, in miniature, by visitors to this website who were checking out these cool images).
We have handled a couple of these in the last 10 years, though never one of this quality, with flashy silver surfaces and some wonderful fresh blue and golden toning.
This coin is from the CRO archives and is not currently available for sale.
