KM-352 variety.

A cool, quarter-sized silver piece which is indeed the first Indian coin to appear on this site.

Yes, we simply could not resist this interesting issue which does NOT feature a Pagoda on the obverse.  That is actually the Temple Gopuram amidst 18 stars surrounded by the denomination QUARTER PAGODA in English and Persian.

The reverse depicts the God Vishnu surrounded by dots and, again, the denomination in Telgu and Tamil.

And this is a rare issue, especially so in the superb, original, delicately toned, frosty, mint state condition seen here.  Indeed, at the time of this writing, this is the single highest graded example at PCGS, and it simply blows away any example that has traded in any recent auction.

$3,875
