29mm in diameter, circa 1785 or earlier.
This is a new one for us, not a coin at all, but an actual Revolutionary War era button with the same 13 bars motif later adopted for use on the Bar Copper.
Buttons with the USA motif (a la the obverse of a Bar Copper) are much more common – this is the first of this type we’ve ever seen.
This example was excavated in Fredericksburg, VA, and is so labeled, in white ink, on the reverse.
