Just a spectacular quarter toned in vivid shades of green, gold, orange and red, and fully deserving of the NGC * for superior eye-appeal.

We don’t handle too many "monster toned coins" and frankly believe many of them aren’t attractive (or original), but this one is different. The toning palette and intensity is consistent with mint sets of this era and is thus, in our view, unquestionably natural.

And, in all, this is one of the prettiest, most dramatically toned Washingtons we’ve ever seen.
