The interesting type with the 2×2 in the obverse field signifying Alabama as the 22nd state admitted to the union, with the X representing the St. Andrew’s cross from the state flag.

And this is a lovely, original Gem with a dash of delicate golden toning and another piece from our CT deal.  This coin was purchased by the previous owner from Bowers and Ruddy in 1974 as seen on this ancient invoice:
