This is the first of a group of Morgan Dollars encapsulated by Paramount International Coin Corp. in the 1970’s in what is perhaps a precursor to the sealed plastic graded coin slabs that came along a decade or so later.

Each piece is labeled A SILVER DOLLAR FROM THE REDFIELD COLLECTION, and is graded, optimistically in our opinion, as Mint State 65.

In fact, these six coins were kept together since they were purchased from Paramount in the 1970’s, and have been off the market since that time.

This coin is lustrous, with some variegated golden toning on the obverse and a mostly brilliant reverse.

CRO grade = MS63.
