In the category of "Hey, there’s something you don’t see very often" this is a lovely toned Morgan housed in a weird May, 5 1986 National Numismatic Certification Service holder.

Also weird:  The holder states that the coin is registered to U.S. Coins (possibly the same outfit still in existence in Houston?) and that they have established the owner’s value at $525.

We’d call it MS64 these days and quite striking, and we’d price it less than they did back then.
