An unheralded rarity, with PCGS estimating that just 150 specimens exist in total, and an issue that is nearly non-existent in mint state.  Indeed, no less an authority than gold specialist David Akers states: “Scarce in all grades and extremely rare better than EF.  In fact, even strictly graded EF specimens are rare.” 

This particular coin is quite choice, with greenish gold toning and full swirling luster, and is the highest graded specimen verified by CAC.
