Among the most popular of Civil War Tokens here offered in breathtaking, incredibly lustrous, nearly full red, über-gem condition.

From the collection of long time dealer, prolific collector and ‘friend of the firm’ Steve Tanenbaum who presumably had his choice of any specimen he wanted over a period of decades attending shows and auctions and seeking out the best of the best.  And Steve chose this one for his own set.

In all, an amazing piece, probably impossible to improve upon, not inexpensive, but exactly the kind of piece we ourselves would collect and put away for a while.
