Peck-1993 variety, Victoria type.  Called ‘Extremely Rare’ in Peck.

An interesting and beautifully executed proof pattern Decimal Penny with a youthful portrait of Queen Victoria on the obverse, and, drawing its theme from Spenser’s Faerie Queene, a depiction of the Queen as Una guiding the British lion on the reverse.

This is the only one we’ve ever seen of this type and it is a striking, all original gem with reflective surfaces and an ancient coppery gold, silvery blue and rose patina.
