A classic piece traced to the S.S. Republic shipwreck. 

And while most of the silver pieces recovered from that vessel look absolutely horrendous after prolonged exposure to seawater, this coin is a happy and unusual exception. 

Untoned, this coin looks much like a typical choice and quite appealing unc. Seated Half, but with a uniformly matte surface.

This piece comes with a fancy-schmancy wooden display box; a color booklet describing the S.S. Republic, the wreck, and the successful effort to recover the loot; as well as a DVD about the whole adventure.

Very cool, eye-appealing, historic and a pretty nice value in our humble opinion.
