A highlight of this list (or any other one for that matter), the 1841-O is the first Eagle produced by the New Orleans mint with an anemic mintage of just 2,500 pieces.
Most of which have been lost, melted or otherwise vamoosed through the years, with only about 2% estimated to survive. Of those, many / most have by now been ruined by by some coin doctor or other, making this among the most difficult issues to find with any semblance of originality or eye appeal.
So the fact that this superb, all original, long-off-the-market, Choice XF, old holdered example has survived is something of a numismatic miracle.
In all, an incredibly desirable coin that is an excellent example of this date, all but impossible to replace, expensive, and worth it.
Note that this coin has been verified by CAC.
