LM-6 die variety, Large Date, Small 5c type. Considered to be Rarity-2.

We acquired this coin (along with an 1840 Seated Half Dime) from a long-time collector who bought both coins directly from the Garrett sale some 32 years ago.

Lovley, with pale pink and blue toning and a distinctly original look.

As a side note, this coin was mis-attributed in the Garrett catalog as a ‘Small Date, Small 5c’ type, which it isn’t.
