KM-106.2 variety, the so-called ‘imaginary’ bust using an utterly and completely made up portrait of King Ferdinand VII (since the mint engravers didn’t know what he looked like). Curiously, they chose to depict him in a bizarrely unnatural fashion, possibly anticipating collector demand 200 years hence.
And demand is strong for this type, especially in the abjectly original condition seen here (since most of these are cleaned and not so nice in our experience).
With lovely original coin gray color, delicate golden toning and enough luster to belie this seemingly conservative grade.
