Sheldon-231 die variety, ‘No Stems’ Redbook variety.  Considered to be Rarity-1. 

Quite choice, with attractive brown color and hard surfaces for a type with a rarity rating that is somewhat misleading. 

Indeed, ‘No Stems’ are very difficult to obtain in high grades, as the PCGS population report will attest.  This nice AU might well make the low end of the Early American Coppers condition census for the variety.
