Baker-69, Breen-1278 variety, second obverse. Struck in Copper.
A wonderful, original chestnut brown piece with nice luster and a great look.
Just a few minor spots on the obverse bear mention, but they are not obtrusive, connote originality and serve to definitively identify this example as the famous Garrett specimen.
Ex Bowers and Ruddy’s March 1981 sale of the Garrett Collection, Part IV, lot #1759. The original lot ticket included.
