1793 Chain Cent, with Periods, NGC graded VF-30. Choice light brown coin, with hard, smooth surfaces. They just don’t come like this too often. This is the desirable type with Periods after the date and the word, “Liberty”, also known as a Sheldon-4. Nearly all specimens of the Chain with Periods are either well worn, or have rough surfaces. Enjoy this happy exception. The photo was taken before I submitted the coin to NGC, so you get a detailed look at the surfaces prior to slabbing.
