One of perhaps 35 known in all grades, and as such a surprisingly rare and underrated issue in the Washington series.

And this is a fantastic example, certainly among the finest extant.

A superb, original, chocolate brown with actual vestiges of mint red lingering in the devices on both the obverse and reverse.  Far more attractive than the typical dark brown examples usually seen, with hard, smooth surfaces and exquisite detail, including a sharp shoulder epaulet and crisp edges on the design elements and lettering.
