W-1025 variety, struck on a thin planchet with an Engrailed Edge.

A tough type most often seen indifferently made on poor planchets and exhibiting a frankly grotesque die break in the central obverse which obscures the original design as intended by the makers.  But we never buy those.

Instead, we seek pieces like this early die state example with no trace of the die break on the clock, with a better than average strike on a nice, hard, smooth, chocolate brown planchet.

Note that this coin has been verified by CAC (after the slab photo was taken).
