Maris 77-dd, W-5535 variety, Running Fox type. Considered to be Rarity-3 as an issue, but utterly unique in this incredible state of preservation.

In fact, this coin is not just cc #1 of this variety in the Siboni, Howes, Ish reference, it is amazingly the only mint state example of any 1788 New Jersey Copper variety at PCGS.

With hard, glossy surfaces, razor sharp detail, superb chocolate brown color, a dash of 18th century mint red in the devices and the fantastic eye appeal expected at this grade level.
