A lovely, original, hard, smooth, chocolate brown example struck from a late state of the dies such that the obverse figure’s nose is a mere suggestion, a spindly crack spans the left obverse field, and on the reverse the seated figure wears a mega-cud like a giant pair of boots. How cool is that?

Very – but not as cool as the provenance of this piece which includes Crosby, Garrett and long time friend of CRO the late, great Robert Martin.
