Miller 16.3-N, W-4610 variety, considered to be Rarity-2.  

The best of this variety we have ever handled, with rich brown color, choice, hard surfaces, excellent detail, a sharp strike, some pronounced obverse clash marks, good centering and a nice, original look. 

This piece can be traced to Stack’s sale of the Tanenbaum Collection, with Steve having acquired it in Stack’s July 1997 auction (one of our favorite sales containing a simply superb colonial offering), lot #1065, where it was offered raw, described as “AU” and realized $1,980 about 15 years ago.
