Ryder-8, W-2030 variety, VERMONTENSIUM type. Considered to be Rarity-4-.
A charming, totally original, long off the market, super crusty example of this toughest of the three VERMONTENSIUM varieties.
This piece was last offered in Stack’s May 1998 auction where it was described as “Extremely Fine, brown and olive”. And while PCGS has taken a more conservative view, this is a lovely, totally original, well struck and well centered example on a smooth, problem free planchet.
Ex Stack’s May 1998 sale of the Reed Hawn Collection, lot #100 (lot ticket included).
