Maris 16-L, the ‘Protruding Tongue’ variety, so named because of the strategically placed die break right at the horse’s mouth (which sounds to us like the kind of coin that might just wind up in an unbelievably clever CRO ad).
Just one dull nick in the central obverse isn’t too distracting, and is pretty much overwhelmed by the choice chestnut color, glossy original surfaces and great big tongue.
