Maris 12-G, W-4790 variety, ‘No Coulter’ type (a coulter is the blade attached to a plough as can be seen on most NJ copper varieties, but which is absent on this scarce Redbook type). Considered to be Rarity-4.
We are delighted to present this nice specimen fresh from the proverbial woodwork.
And this is a very high grade for this tough type, well detailed, with pleasing surfaces, nice, medium brown color, lighter golden brown devices and good eye appeal.
The next step up in quality would be a real ‘doozy’, and very expensive, IF you could find such a coin and we aren’t sure you could.
