Miller 6-K, W-2690 variety, Draped Bust Left type. Considered to be Rarity-5.
A popular type coin in the Connecticut series with the Draped Bust design commonly seen on 1787 issues, but much tougher as a 1786.
And this is a very pleasing golden brown example with a typical obverse strike, a bold reverse and nice surfaces for the issue. Another superb pedigree, too.
Ex Heritage’s November 2017 sale of the Eric P. Newman Collection, lot #15246; earlier Dr. Thomas Hall.
