RR-4, W-2015 variety. VERMONTIS type. Considered to be Rarity-4.

Toughest of the Vermont Landscape types, we have had just a few example of this type through the years graded VF or higher.

And while this one (like all others we’ve had) is not perfect, it ranks high among the RR-4s we’ve seen, with nice golden brown color, strong detail and a bold VERMONTIS legend.

Great provenance too, this coin can be traced to Bowers’ May 1996 sale of the Eliasberg Collection where it was described as “EF-40. Condition Census.”

With the next step up in quality (if you could find it) likely to be multiples of this price.
