Betts-615, struck in copper.
A very choice example of this popular early American medal which has been off the market for quite some time.
Both the obverse and reverse are a nice rich chocolate brown with a few tiny lines and a couple of minor spots here and there to account for the grade of 64. This example is also finer than any of the Libertas Americana medals offered in the recent Ford sale.
A wonderful piece of early Americana, housed in an impressively large-sized NGC holder.
