S-3728 variety, George III type.
A lovely, original golden orange example of a type that is nearly always seen hairlined, and/or with less desirable white gold color (even on the few pieces we’ve seen in higher grade holders).
This piece is accompanied by a neat roundel on which is written the grade of this piece as "F.D.C." (fleur de coin) and the provenance as a 1949 auction.
