One of the three ‘P Below Bust’ types in the Voce Populi series, this issue can be identified by the positioning of the letters R and N in HIBERNIA very close to the seated figure’s head on the reverse.

And this is a variety not often encountered in the lofty grade seen here. 

Lovely medium brown color and sharply struck on a hard, naturally glossy planchet that is far nicer than the porous examples typically seen.
