We have handled a number of Pillar Dollars over the last several years, but none quite as flashy and prooflike as this piece.

Brilliant and lustrous, with hard mirrored surfaces and some attractive golden toning along the rims on both the obverse and reverse. There are a few darker toning spots here and there, none of which are too distracting and all of which indicate that this piece has not been dipped or cleaned in the recent past.

Stunning, in a word, and looking quite conservatively graded in a 62 holder.
