A popular issue among colonial collectors, the English Farthing (and Halfpenny) of this year, and only this year, circulated in early America by official decree and thus have a rightful place in the American colonial series – far more so than lots of the association pieces listed in the Redbook. 

And this is a neat example, the only one we have ever seen in an old holder (PCGS generation #4 to be exact, used circa 1990 – 1995 and thus indicating that this coin was slabbed at least 17 years ago), and a coin which might well have graded higher if it wasn’t so darn original.  Just the way we like ’em!.
