Breen-576, Vlack-204 variety, struck at the Lille mint.  Considered to be Rarity-3 as an issue but more like R-8 in the incredible condition seen here.

With blazing luster, all but perfect surfaces and delicate golden toning on the obverse and reverse.

This is simply the finest example of this denomination we’ve ever seen, and that’s saying something, since we have handled many of the finest pieces in this series, including specimens in the Ford, Vlack and Craige collections as well as an amazing group in an epic NY collection we bought privately about 10 years ago. 

But none of those examples are as nice as this one.
