Betts-21 variety, struck in Silver. 51.9 mm.
One of the great medallic designs of this era showing the Netherlands’ militant mindset at the turn of the 17th century.
With Dutch warships fighting Spanish Galleons on one side surrounded by the Latin legend translated as We can do Whatever is Needed, Whenever it is Needed. And a Spanish horse leaping toward the Americas pursued by the Lion of Zeeland on the other, with the Latin legend The World is Not So Large that Wherever You go I cannot Follow.
The piece itself is a lovely, original silvery gray Choice XF.
