"Buy a Nose"

Concept:
We usually avoid any sort of overt sales pitch in our ad captions, but when presenting this delightful, old toned and extremely choice Mexico 1R featuring the portrait of Charles III with his prominent proboscis in full flight, we decided to make an exception (sort of).

Namely by using this By a Nose / Buy a Nose switcheroo, which slips the ‘Buy’ homophone into a well known phrase and thus changes it to something that sounds familiar, but which is now a literal and direct pitch to purchase this coin.

And why wouldn’t you? It’s a superb example of a rare and underrated type and looks waaaaay better than most of these.

Caption that didn’t make the cut:
We searched high and low for another more suitable nose phrase, but none seemed any better than the one in our final ad.

So we stuck with it.
