December 1, 2014: "Nothing Could Be Finer II"

Concept:
When confronted with this fantastic, golden brown XF45 1694 Carolina Elephant Token, we were immediately reminded of the famous 1922 song "Carolina in the Morning" by Gus Kahn and Walter Donaldson which of course contains the line "Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina in the morning."

So we made a few changes, subtly inserted the word ‘Elephant’ and voila!, we were done.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
Regular readers may recognize this ad as one we’ve used before (in August of 2012, to be exact), but those regular readers would be wrong. W-R-O-N-G. You see, we did use a similar concept back then, but we frankly botched the caption terribly and only realized it after long time dealer Anthony Terranova pointed out what it should have been.

And so, 2 years+ later, with an even more epic Carolina coin in hand, we sought to make things right, wrote the caption correctly and, of course, gave Mr. Terranova the author credit he rightly deserves.
