Concept:
While Gorgeous George was actually the nickname of charismatic 1950’s American professional wrestler George Raymond Wagner (signature move: the suplex), our guest author felt that it was equally appropriate for this gorgeous red and brown gem Liberty & Security Penny with an especially appealing portrait of the ‘other’ George (Washington) on the obverse.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
There were none.

When someone comes up with "Gorgeous George.", you stop whatever it is that you were doing, call our Art Department, tell them to stop playing Nerf basketball long enough to place this caption into the ad, approve the finished artwork, and then zip it off to CoinWorld for insertion in their May 14th issue.

And that is exactly what we did.
