Concept:
We’re not sure what the most interesting part of this medal is – the neat Lunar Module on the obverse, the mission path on the reverse, or the fact that it was struck in Germany with German legends.

For our guest author, it was that last one, leading to this hybrid and, in our view, eye-catching English-Deutch caption.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
The only alternatives considered this week involved minor wordsmithing and the possible inclusion of a ‘The’.

In retrospect, maybe we should have added it.
