Concept:
Clearly the claim to fame of these historic silver spoons is that they were made by Ephraim Brasher, he of the unbelievably cool, extremely rare and terribly valuable EB-counterstamped Brasher Doubloon fame.

And since one of those would be a really, really big purchase, our author figured a spoon like this would make a nice and relatively affordable ‘first step’ in that direction.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
We had a couple of sillier variants, including this one:

"You can’t eat your soup with a Brasher Doubloon."

Followed by this one:

"Less expensive than a Brasher Doubloon – and much better for eating soup."

But I couldn’t get past the awkwardness of saying "eat" your soup, so I put the kibosh on these.
