An original RB unc. Fugio of a variety seldom encountered in this grade level.

The overwhelming majority of uncirculated Fugios in the numismatic marketplace can be traced to the bank of New York hoard, which contained hundreds of examples of the common 11-X, 13-X and other varieties.  But there were less than one dozen examples of 9-P represented, the best of which have long since disappeared in collections.

Including the one we acquired recently which included this one.

The piece itself is as RB as we’ve seen of the issue, with just a few unobtrusive manufacturing flaws to explain the grade of 63.
