Another choice piece, and an issue which may not exist in true mint state (despite what the pop reports might say). 

Indeed, the Garrett catalog description of a different specimen included this passage:  "Once again, for some unexplained reason, no example has ever been observed in strictly uncirculated condition with original mint color."

Also interesting is that the two portraits used are not the same, with Washington appearing older and perhaps a few pounds heavier on the ONE CENT side.  No idea why.

One thing is clear, however:  This present piece  is about as nice an example as we’ve seen, with a strong strike and arcing die lines in the fields.
