W-9100 variety, struck from the original dies with no bulge or crack near the NS in PARENS, but with the spidery die rust in evidence at the pot handle.  Considered to be Rarity-5.

A neat issue struck for the the French-American colony called ‘Castorland’ (Castor being the French word for Beaver) established in upstate New York for affluent French families in 1792/3.

The reverse depicts the Roman goddess of grain and the harvest surrounded by the legend SALVE MAGNA PARENS FRUGUM (translated as HAIL GREAT MOTHER OF THE CROPS).

And this lovely, original, eye-appealing, prooflike, near-gem is among the finest examples we’ve seen or know about, with pretty blue, rose and deep golden toning on the obverse and reverse.

Note that this coin has been verified by CAC.
