Concept:
Even after all this time, we still find cool coins absolutely thrilling, such as this fantastic, original, indigo, rose, silvery green and golden toned choice mint state example of this neat ooooold shilling featuring the chiseled portrait of William of Orange.

Captions that didn’t make the cut:
We briefly considered attempting to use the Latinate version of William in the obverse legend GVLLELMUS in a caption, but that seemed problematic for two reasons:

Nothing rhymes with GVLLELMUS
Even if it did, no one would know what the heck we were talking about

So we did not use it.
