Toughest denomination in the Chalmers series by a lot, and when one does appear on the market it is most likely to be in very low grade, have serious problems, or both.

And while this one is not perfect, with an old scratch in the field and struck a bit off center on the star side, it is all original, with very pleasing coin gray color and is far, far nicer than most of the known specimens.  Indeed, in 25 years of serious searching, we’ve seen just a few better than this and they were multiples of this price.
