A tough Charlotte issue with a mini-mintage of just 3,677 pieces, of which perhaps 3% survive to this day.  Wow.  That’s not very many.

And of those 3%, most are cleaned or corrupted, leaving just a few choice original coins suitable for the CRO list.

Like this lovely old-holdered, all original and very pleasing F15 which is in this author’s view waaaaay more desirable than a lot of the higher graded and much more expensive coins which have come to market in recent years.
