A neat and distinctive issue often referred to as a ‘Drunken Die Cutter’ variety based on the haphazard, “that-guy-must-have-been-drunk” placement of the obverse elements with the horse’s head too high and charmingly askew, and the numerals in the date slanting in all different directions.

And this is a fantastic, all original, chocolate brown Choice XF example which is among the best one of these we have ever owned.
