This is an extremely detailed and very small oil painting on a partially planned down Ecuadoran silver coin about the size of a US half dollar. 

Featuring a snow-capped mountain in the background and 2 farmers herding what appear to be 5 goats down a path, past trees, away from their farmhouse and into some sort of numismatic twilight zone. 

The painting is signed by a known artist, who was actively making similar paintings in the middle of the last century. 

One-of-a-kind, to be sure.
