Newman 2-B variety, with the head of the horseman directly below the G in the legend (diagnostic of a variety which only exists as a 1688 original striking, and not as a 19th century restrike). Perhaps Rarity-6 or so.
And, like most original examples produced in this temperamental tin composition, this piece bears some roughness and relatively minor tin pest, but the color is a pleasing rich gray and the surfaces here are actually better than most.
