A wonderful yellow gold example of this 18th century half eagle with prooflike surfaces and some pretty coppery toning as seen on many original gold coins from the noted Bass collection.
For accuracy, we note that there are a few marks, a couple of light lines and a shallow rim bump at precisely 3 o’clock on the obverse, none of which meaningfully detract from the appeal of this beautiful coin.
